Notes from April 2011 Two year old bottle. Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect pint glass just because. Tainted cork reeked of vinegar & fish sauce. Thin, hollow layer off-white head atop a slightly reddish, but mostly amber brew. Managed to keep most of the sediment out this time as well. Smell is an odd combo of green beans, wet leaves, cherry juice, adhesive, & hard/stale water. Taste is basically cherry syrup & boiled vegetables, with a splash of apple cider vinegar. A saccharine sweetness, sort of like what you find in Duchesse. Light acidity & a mild bitterness akin to that buzz your throat gets when sucking on pesticide laden fruit. Constantly frothy, but nearly flat. Somewhat syrupy. This isn't the worst thing in the world. It's just not brewed with you in mind. Still doesn't make it any good.

Clear dark golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of tart caramelized malt, red fruits, old fruits. Taste of sour apples, caramel, candies, sulfur.

Max's bottle: pours golden with nonhead. Spoiled apple juice. Why did I do this. It is about as unpleasant as everyone says. I really should have looked up the reviews ahead of time. Ugh.

$6.99 bottle from Beer Run. 2016 labeled. Pours murky orange-brown, flat, zero carbonation evident. Aroma is sickeningly sweet candied raisins, gum, cherry. To be honest, I have no urge to sample this - it looks flat, it smells grossly sweet... But I will. Flavor is about up to par with the smell. Sugar-sweet cherry, raisin, honey, bubble gum. No carbonation; like drinking a sweet soda syrup without hitting the CO2. This is awful. $6.99 for three sips - this shit is going down the drain. This might be the worst beer I can recall sampling.
