Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival, Nov 14. Pours amber with bubbly white head. Leafy green hop taste with slight floral elements. Nice bitter finish. Solid.

Two hand-pulled pints in the lovely ’Bear’ at Hodnet, a tastefully restored old country inn: now almost a gastro pub (with rooms). 7th November 2013. Took a while to clear fully, but when it did you could see a true golden hue to the body, on top a creamy white head which stayed to produce some heavy lacing on the glass. The hops used (according to the pump-clip were from North Shropshire and they were the dominant ingredient my far: both fruity and floral they gave the beer a real hop feel without over doing it. Dry and fairly bitter, but a good brew with enough malts to prevent a total hop bomb scenario. Easy to drink and one of the better ’green hop’ beers I’ve had.
