Bottle from Saucy Pears, Worcester, Friday 7th August 2015 consumed at home Sunday 9th August 2015 Pours light silvery gold with white islands atop. I have to say I was a little bit surprised, I genuinely thought that Painted Lady was a single variety Perry and have read the back of the label on this bottle to find out that this was a blend of Moorcroft, Blakeney Red, Yellow Huffcap and Winnals. Mid sweetness, a juiciness and a bit tart and dry, very refreshing. I have thoroughly enjoyed my ciders and perries this weekend, feel bad that I have inadvertently ignored them a bit over the last year or two. A6 A4 T8 P3 Ov14 3.5

Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - golden with no head. Nose - dry pears. It’s almost apples. Taste - more of the same. Palate - close to medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - although it is supposedly medium sweet it’s actually nice and dry and tangy.

500ml bottle from Ludlow Spring Festival May 14. Pours a very pale greenish yellow. Taste is extremely light with a moderate sweetness, distant pear fruit and very faint dusty tannins. Not bad but you feel yourself yearning for more of the fruitiness to shine through.
