Cask @ Head of Steam, Huddersfield. Didn’t notice the % til after I’d paid.. according to the pumpclip this was 2.8%. Very bland, tasteless watery bitter although the hops do come through a little on the palette. Better than nothing I suppose.

Keg at Ashton United Football Club - Bit of a let down for Sam Smith this one, looks fine as you’d expect from a nitro, but nothing in the nose and a watery taste that wasn’t helped by having it served at -20°c... Forgettable.

Cask at the Cittie of York, London. Pours a clear, effervescent golden-brown with a foamy, off-white head. Weak toasty malt aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet with some faint caramel, toast, and very mild, leafy bitterness. Light in body with fine, tingly carbonation. Light sweet finish, some toasty and doughy malts, light fruits making an appearance. A very basic beer overall. Nothing really wrong, but it’s just pretty damn bland.
