The aroma is good bright coffee notes with soft barley hints. Has soft dark brown body with mellow beige foam. Flavour is good chewy dark barley with more sweet coffee notes. Mouthfeel is full and smooth but perhaps a little too sweet. There are some good elements here but it's all a little overbearing in its sweetness.

473mL can, pours black with a medium brown head. Aroma is loaded with espresso beans upfront, with a hint of vanilla and medium roast. Flavour is rich and full-bodied, with a great blend of espresso, bourbon, and vanilla upfront and dominating, with just a touch of lactose-like sweetness. The bourbon vanilla and coffee really strike a beautiful balance. Excellent.

Poured from 473mL can. Black with dissipating tan head. Light toasted malt, mild coffee, hint of vanilla, lactose and veg. Relatively balanced, but a little thin for an imperial.

Jet brown with a decent light brown head. Intense dark coffee bean and roast. Dark coffee and a bit of toast. Decent.

Draught at the brewery
Black colour. Lean body, a bit boozy, not very rich, not very imperial; strong coffee flavout with a touch of milk and vanilla.
A good boozy drink, but not as rich as most Imperial Stouts are expected to be these days.

Dark brown. Thin head. Sort of a toasty, vegetal coffee aroma. Fairly big body, lots of sweetness, touch of toastiness, ok but it seems maybe a bit husky, or green? There’s just a little something off...not a lot off.

Taster while meeting Rob and Eric. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, coffee, some slight weird veggy notes. Taste: along the same lines but with some a bit weird harsh bitterness. There is some smoothness from lactose. Could not vanilla in here. Overall: ok.
