Handpull cask at the Midland, Bearwood, Birmingham. Brownish red, clear with a small off-white head offering a lot of lacing. Fresh malty aroma, slightly spicy. Taste is intense from the Rye, not too sweet with notes of red berry. Notes of white pepper in the long finish. I think the low rates are a bit unfair. This is a pretty good beer.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Dark brown pour with small off white head. This one has a toasty rye, medicine, sour fruity berry/yeast note, citrus zest, light spice. Light to medium bodied, semi-drying. Oddly rich yet light sour. It doesn't quite work but its something a bit different and interesting flavours going on.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Brum. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Opaque dark brown. Thick pillowy foamy white head. Off-white. Sweet and sour berries and rye spice. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish..a tad too sweet for me.

330ml can. Pours dark orange brown with a medium head. Aroma is bready cinnamon. Taste is a bit watery, some bread and burnt Christmas spice. Touch of orange on the finish.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, yeasty, light floral citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a malt, yeast, light. fruity, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Got the feeling this was the end of the cask given the overly yeasty medicinal nature of the beer.

Cask, hand-pulled half-pint in Cherry Red, Birmingham on 2nd Dec 2019. Unclear deep reddy brown, beige head. The Rye comes through load and heavy, spiced heavily also. Heavy going.
