Bottle, courtesy of tomer through ELS. Pours cloudy dark brown. Aroma is mocca, caramel, chocolate, some vanilla. Body is medium, strongly carbonated, caramel and nuts, sweet and amber. Still a bit thin and lacking character. Okay, but really not a Baltic porter.

THANKS to Tom for the bottle. 330 ml. bottle shared. Dark brown amber, little head, doesn’t look dark enough. Taste is herbal, leaves, bark but also some chocolate, bit thin. Taste is quite nice bit fizzy but with chocolate, mocha, caramel, grainy, almost roast, leaves, not the top but fairly pleasant and easy drinking, quite enjoyed it.

200ml draught, 7.3 % abv at Hopfenreich. Filmy layer, fair lacing, dark brown body with a ruby shade. Earthy malts on the nose with notes of oak and chocolate. Honeyed caramel flavours together with moments of vanilla oak, dark chocolate, and a backdrop of dried fruits. Roasted chocolate malty ending. Rounded mouth feel. Nice maybe a tad too sweet in the long run. (Berlin 13.01.2018).

Draught at Dancing Camel. Dark brown. Malt, caramel, some roast, licorice, some chocolate, a bit of alcohol, a bit of coffee, sweet, bitter finish, medium-bodied, over-carbonated. OK, but not really my thing.

Draught at the brewpub, small crey head, clear deep brown color with lots of reddish hues, aroma of light roasted notes, wax, toasted bread and some caramel in back, flavor of caramel, vanila and date honey sweetness with some chocolate in the back, light charred bitterness, carbonation just a touch agressive. Does not feel robust enough, but overall nice and drinkable.

Tap at Dancing Camel, Tel Aviv. Like a tasty mix of a julöl and a Baltic Porter. It is deep malty warm, smoke, oak and the sweetness of the honey brings it back to earth. Very pleasant actually, except the palate needs some fine tuning.
