Undated but fresh and from the fridge can, drunk 4/13/23. Looks thick. Like a mixed berry smoothie. Pink-violet-cranberry head is small, steadily fizzles to ring. Smells great - very blackberry forward with dry, peppery, tangy acid on the finish. Nutty, creamy wheat, light salinity and light-to-moderate lactic character provide more than just a fruit smoothie experience. Clean, no alcohol. Super fruity, juicy, soft, creamy, thick and yet, tart and quite dry. No lactose (that I can taste), residual sugar from malt is kept to a minimum and the fruit sugar is only enough to balance the lactic and fruit acidity. Blueberry picks up quite nicely and the apricot gives a light, bright, almost citrusy acidity. This is the right way to do the contemporary fruit sour. Sadly the vast majority of brewers just pump them full of sugar and lactose.

Beautiful appearance. Aroma is black currant, blackberry, soft yoghurt and soft apricot. Taste is tart black currant and frozen blackberry yoghurt leading to a medium salty finish. Smoothie blackberry. Another win for The Veil!!! Next one please!
