Bottle shared at Embargo, Phnom Penh. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a round bubbly off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel, liqourice, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet, with a rich, oily, liqourice, charcoal, red berry fruit, boozy alcohol palate and a lingering alcohol bitter finish. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

Bottle shared with my brother, he brought it from Saigon. Pours completely black with basically no head. Aroma is wood, dark malts, chocolate, caramel, molasses, figs and some licorice. Big body, silky mouthfeel. Flavour is big and complex. Big malt body, lots of dark malts with flavours of caramel, chocolate and burnt sugar. Medium roastiness. Lot of underlying complexity with hints of figs, plums and licorice. There's a nice wood character with vanilla as well as some whisky, yet nothing specific - a lovely BA character though. This is a very classic yet beautifully crafted iteration of a BA Imperial stout. Well done.
