To the eye, an intense brown beer, with bright glints and creamy foam.
On the nose, woody notes and delicate hints of pears as well as plums.
On the palate, the barrel-ageing provides bread crust, roasting and smoky aromas, enhanced by a touch of honey and vanilla.

Sample, dark brown beer, small head, aroma is fruit, candy, sweet, wood. Taate is the same, sweet, fruity, light bitter. Very nice

A 375ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Bubbly pearl white head leaving rich lacing down the glass, brown coloured body with a deep rustic shade. Solid aroma of dried fruits and caramel. Solid taste profile as well, impacts of prunes, dark plums and choco-caramel, woody, distant hints of whisky.Lingering, warming ending. Full bodied. Great slow sipper qualities. Spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham & Rune på Nerstranda. Mørk amber. Mokkafarget filmskum. God nøttearoma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken eik & whiskey. Tørr, fruktig avslutning.
Magus, linnaseline, karamell, väga puuviljane. Väga heas tasakaalus. Mõnus.
Sweet, malty, caramel, burnt caramel

A very dark brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma is just great, dried fruits, prune, raisin, apricot, hint of whiskey, surprisingly fresh. Taste has dried fruitness, raisin, hint of barrel and whiskey. Medium+ bodied. Great balance, very good.

Es gibt nicht viele Biere, die so ganz anders sind, als alles was man bisher getrunken hat. Das hier ist so eins. In Trunk und Nase absolut außergewöhnlich, cremig, Cognac, Trauben, Schokolade. Dabei mit enormer Drinkability. Das die kleine Flasche verkorkt ist, ist die Sahnehaube. Top notch.

Creamy off-white good fully lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter nice flavor. Just slightly peated. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Refrigerated 75 cL brown bottle poured into a cup. Opaque dark brown, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is dark fruit, dark candy sugar, oak, and some whiskey.

Tasted @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Smooth deep dark fruit with a nice but sweetish woody whisky back. A bit unbalanced - the fantastic Chimay is mixed with sweetish wood and hints of whisky booze. Not too balanced with a slightly woody bitter whisky booze aftertaste.
