A collaboration with Workshop Coffee, using washed process, heirloom varietal Ethiopian Bildiimoo coffee. Earthy, fruity notes from the coffee Bildiimoo compliment the rich chocolate, liqourice and roast character of the porter. Drink fresh!

Bottle at level 42 Xmas tasting, thanks to Matteo. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is soft, roasted malt, toast, earth, coffee, tobacco, wood and leather. The taste is toasty, rich roasted malt, coffee, tobacco, hint of toffee, cocoa, ash and spice. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. A touch lighter than I had hoped for. Decent stuff anyhow.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Matteo for this special beer. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds rich coffee, baking cocoa, brown bread. Medium sweet flavour with creamy coffee character, moderate roast, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with some ashy roast, more rich coffee, baking cocoa, background roast. Good stuff.

Bottle split at L42 Pissmass Masacre, thanks to Matteo, 19/12/16. Black pour with a decent tan cap. Nose is coffee grinds, spice, toffee melt, light cocoa, roasted notes. Taste comprises coffee, chocoalte, spice, slow roast, dark fruit tang, raisins. Medium bodied, fine carboantion, drying close. Solid coffee stout.

Keg at the brewery. A hat black coloured pour with a a lasting sticky mid tan head. Aroma is lovely rich earthy smoky coffee, campfire, hints of ash and background subtle piney hop note. Flavour is composed of forward earthy coffee, ashy roast, pine bark, hint of vanilla. Palate is medium bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly milky in the mouth. Lingering ash and woody coffee. Outstanding beer.
