12 oz. can. Pours orangish-gold with a slight haze and a large foamy white head. Aroma of tart fruit, berries, citrus notes, and a unique scent which I presume to be the Jabuticaba fruit. Taste is tart berries, guava, a bit of salt, some lactose. Finish is tart and acidic. Very tasty.

Lightly hazy, a pale gold, large head, pretty thick, stick, long retention. Nose is fruity (something tropical?), soured funk, cheese, spice, dough. A solventy or acetone element hits the nose at first sip, carries into the flavor but is replaced by a soft tartness, finish crisp and semi-dry. OK so I just read the label and read up on jabuticaba, learning it is a tropical grape-like fruit. I guess there could be something vaguely vinous about the flavor but that weird nose is pretty unique, though vaguely reminiscent of something that I can’t quite pin down, except something like a new fiberglass bass boat - but that’s not the fruity part, but the solventy part.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 11/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pinkish golden/orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, red grape, melon, sea salt, pepper, wheat, cracker, hay, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, grapes, sea salt, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, red grape, melon, sea salt, pepper, wheat, cracker, hay, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour lemon, lime, green apple, pear, red grape, melon, sea salt, pepper, wheat, cracker, hay, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, grapes, sea salt, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance. Slightly puckering, but not astringent after the finish. Moderate dryness from sour/spiciness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately grainy/acidic/saline, and slightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.5%. Overall this is a very nice fruited gose style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, grapes, sea salt, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean and refreshing to drink with the balanced acidity. Nice grape presence, and a spot on base beer to style. A very enjoyable offering.
