BARREL-AGED WILD ALE WITH MUSCARIS GRAPES
Muze was born out of love for wine and our friendship with vineyard De Colonjes. We used their Muscaris grape pulp to create our first beer-wine hybrid. The base beer for Muze was drawn from our oldest barrel left to macerate with the grape skins for another 6 months. Then we let it age for another full year to achieve the perfect balance. Our Muze is 3 years old now, a grand dame in the prime of her life.

Bottle shared. Bit hazy light golden with white head. Spicy grapes, soft citrus and elderflower, funky Nevel yeast, wheat. Medium sweet and sour, some herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. Good!

At Wild Festival Groningen, 10cl from bottle. Color: Hazy golden, no head. Aroma: White grapes, tart. Taste: Bitter, tart, grape-peel. Strong wood flavors. A lot of tannins, I most probably haven't had any other beer before with such an astringent mouthfeel. No carbonation, flat. Nice one.
