Dark brown, slight foam. Aroma is sweet, with cocoa and chocolate. Full on toffee and caramel in the nose. Feels like a hoppy cookie and probably in blind tasting I would be mistaking this for Imperial Porter I guess. Nice wee heavy which is actually kind of light because of great balance with hops. Modern interpretation I guess, liking it.

Very malty sweet nose with tons of chocolate, peat, bacon and smoke. The mouth is very sweet, bacon, peat, chocolate and smooth body with low carbonation. The smoke least for ever with bourbon at the end. Sweet. I love this stuff.

Bottle purchased at Binny’s South Loop back in November 2014. Somewhat clear ruby color without any type of head aroma is very nice. Bourbon is smooth with vanilla, coconut, burnt oak and some sugar.

The flavor is wonderful, wow! Bourbon is perfectly integrated throughout the sip. The sweet malts, toasted oak, coconut, vanilla and a very light hint of alcohol warming. The warming is still mild and make my belly nice and warm. The flavor is very smooth for 10.4%.

Sample at The Brass Tap during Cincinnati Beer Week. This beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, oak and fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, oaky vanilla, and bourbon. The finish is oaky with a boozy charred malt aftertaste. Enjoyable beer all around.

On tap at Revs production brewery grand opening. Pours a very hazy deep caramel brown with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of vanilla and caramel with a good amount of sweet grains and a barrel backing. Flavor has lots of vanilla with caramel and sweet grains and barrel in the finish.
