St. Bernardus Abt 12 is widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world. It is therefore no surprise that it is our brewery’s flagship beer, ranked at the very top of the St. Bernardus beer hierarchy. It is brewed in the classic quadrupel style and adheres to the original 1946 recipe. This is a dark beer with a robust head that is ivory in colour. EBC 60.

0.33 bottle. Old abbot Bernardus smiles at us from a very nice, maroon-colored quadrupel with strong head. The aroma is cognac, raisins, wine barrel, delicious. Very tasty, full-bodied, concentrated dessert beer. The alcohol feels a little, but next to it a cavalcade of wine, cognac, dried fruity flavors is felt, different for each sip. It was a complex, fine quadrupel, perhaps a little too carbonated.

Egy nagyon szép, gesztenyebarna színű, erős habbal rendelkező quadrupelről mosolyog ránk az öreg Bernardus apát. Illata konyakos, mazsolás, boroshordós, finom. Nagyon ízes, testes, tömény desszert sör. Az alkohol picit érződik, de mellette aszú-boros, konyakos, aszalt gyümölcsös ízek kavalkádja érződik, kortyonként más és más. Komplex, finom quadrupel, talán picit túl szénsavas volt.
