330ml bottle ’Belgian Blond Ale’ at 8.4% ABV, best before date 22 Sep 16. Brought back from Uruguay by a friend and opened on 19 Apr 16, poured into a Chimay badged chalice and shared with no one, not even Graham who gave me it! The beer had settled for two days, but it still came out cloudy, the sediment mostly stayed in the bottle though. Murky, dull orange in colour with a wispy white head. Yeasty nose with a sour citrus element or two, taste similar. Fairly ’tart’ but not as sour as the aroma suggests, it grew on me even if the body depth was a little weak and watery, the alcohol level seemed a bit higher than it tasted also. Apart from the body and alcohol weakness I quite enjoyed it.

2/X/14 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 9/IX/14 (2014-1169) Thanks to Augusto for the bottle!
Little hazy blond beer, big aery off-white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, sweet, floral, honey, bit soapy, sugary. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty sour, lemony, infected. Aftertaste: little fruity, very sour unpleasant.
