This Session IPA was brewed in collaboration with Brasserie de la Senne to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Brasserie Thiriez. A light, very refreshing beer with the typical touches of Brasserie de la Senne.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Bottle Shop, Bermondsey. Pours clear yellow-gold with a billowing, frothy white head. Nice aroma, some Belgian yeast, crisp wheat, lemon peel, hay. Light to medium sweet flavour with pleasant crisp wheat character, pale bread, restrained saison yeast, light bitter grass and hay, citrus peel. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Neatly balanced finish, with more wheat bread, hay, yeast, nips of alcohol, straw. Pretty easygoing. Very drinkable.

3/VIII/16 - 33cl bottle from Abbaye des Saveurs (Lille) @ home - BB: V/2017 (2016-805) Thanks to Franck for bringing this one to my attention!
Little hazy blond to yellow beer, nice solid creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: hay, barn yard, funky touch, grassy, some citrus, hint of almonds. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice bitter start, grassy, some citrus, bit soapy, floral touch. Aftertaste: very bitter, grapefruit, grassy, bit spicy, hay, dry, citrus, lovely bitterness. I'm pretty sure I like this one better than the DLS's, but in retrospect I should've tasted them next to each other of course...
