Bottle generously shared by tderoeck. One of a handful of ales from this new nano brewery in Paraguay, made with honey and oats. Very thick and frothy, ’beaten egg’-like, dense, off-white head, hazy amberish bronze robe with lively sparkling. Aroma of dried apricot, dried fig, honey, dry earth, dust, iron, cinnamon, dried orange peel, hazelnut, dry cookies. Restrainedly fruity onset, apricot and banana hints, sourish touch (redcurrant), slight metallic hint somewhere, fizzy body with soft and ’fluffy’ texture (velvety oat effect), bready and lightly toffeeish malt sweetness, dryish touch in the finish, floral and earthy with yeasty notes (a tad starch-like) and lingering honey sweetness. Quite alright certainly seen its context and it being a young micro brewery in a country of which I had not idea there was any interest at all in good beers, but a bit unsure of its own identity, including the references to both Belgian and German traditions on the label - but it being South American and representing an apparently budding craft beer movement there, this is easily forgiven.

17/VII/16 - 33cl bottle @ home, preGF tasting - BB: n/a (2016-762)

Little hazy deep amber beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, some caramel, bit sweet, dried fruits, some pears, banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty, some banana, little sourish, caramel. Aftertaste: nice bitterness, some chocolate, grains, caramel, dried fruits, very malty finish. Pretty damn decent stuff!
