Cheap six pack bought from random store on walk to train, may be older due to price. Orange pour yellowish and some head. Nose is tropical fruits and some veggie. Tastes of mango, tangerine, grapefruit pith, veggie sticks, sourdough. Sweet finish.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is hazy, orange-yellow with fine, dark sediment in suspension and several larger chunks at the bottom of the glass, fair sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong herbal/cat piss, floral with lighter citrus. Taste is astringent, musky citrus and light herbs. Palate is light bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not a great look and the palate is too thin for the style. While the aroma and taste are kind of aggressive and the components wouldn't seem all that complementary on the surface, they morph into each other fairly well.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale light yellow, with good-sized head. Aroma has some grassiness and some citrus notes. Flavor is a bit strange. There's an upfront sweetness, with a weird astringent quality. A touch of lemon, some other citrus and tropical fruit. There's quite a hop wallop waiting in the wings. Finish is bitter, pine and spruce. It's really not bad.

18/VII/17 - 12Fl. Oz. can from a trade @ Klaas' place - BB: n/a, canned: n/a, but very fresh (2017-1047) Thanks to Ryan for the trade!

Cloudy bright yellow to orange beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lovely, very fruity, pineapple, peaches, passion fruit. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of citrus, pretty sweet, malty, lots of ripe tropical fruits, some marzipan, very nice stuff. Aftertaste: gentle bitterness, citrus, resinous, grapefruit, pineapple, some citrus, so damn good! Love this stuff!

Pours hazy light gold into a shaker. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving soapy spiders. Dusty yeast and lemon joy aromas. Soft with dark caramel and hot, stinging lemon joy upfront turning to dry, hot yeast in the lasting finish. I understand others like this, but to me it’s a hot mess.

Can to tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt copper/orange color with just a film of a little white foamy head. Mild messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet peach to apricot to bubblegum qualities over top of a light resin and citrusy bitter tones. Some light sweet wood and a little bit of earthiness round out the edges.
The flavor was almost sweet as the bitterness seemed to do it’s best to balance the entire taste out pretty nice. Mild aftertaste of hop sweetness with a sly edge of crisp sweet to bitter hop portions ride into the finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a sturdy sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Bitter harshness is there, but not misleading.
Overall, pretty well done DIPA. I didn’t mind that \"bubblegum\" aroma. Thanks Henry!

Can, undated, drunk 3/28/17 and another on 4/13/17.
Moderately hazy peach-golden with a small but fairly well-retained white head atop.
Watermelon, tons of malty honey-like notes and juicy mango and papaya serve up a fantastic rendition of the NE IPA. Heavily Tree House-influenced, it has the tell-tale watermelon and bubble gum even (I know they helped them with their IPA program, but did they also share their yeast??). No alcohol, flaw, resin.
Juicy and soft in the mouth, it’s a good deal malty and does provide a ton of rich honey, with light caramel and graham cracker. Low but engaging carbonation and tons of mango and papaya with light tangerine and moderate to low bitterness. Fort Hill IPAs are definitely a bit maltier than most of the other major NE IPA producers, but I still think they’re reasonably well-attenuated. The huge juiciness does make them come across sweeter, as well as the very low bitterness. A hint of resin and alcohol lies on the finish, but it’s mostly well-masked by the malt. Good stuff and look forward to trying all of their beers.
