Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is roasted malt with whiskey, wood, vanilla, coffee, mocha, some liquorice and chocolate. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is full. Wow, I'm impressed, with this beer Bliksem shows that they can play with the best of them in the Dutch beer landscape.

Bottled 330ml
Opaque colour, tiny beige head. Roasted bourbon aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, vanilla, even light chocolate and licorice. roasted maltyness and alcohol (although not as strong as ABV indicates). Quite interesting, a bit different.

Bottle at the dockside tap. Pours black, nose is caramel, fudge, meaty, roasted, chocolate, taste is similar, quite dry, little metallic.

Can at Dockside tap.. Dark black.. Thin tan lacing.. Soft dry chocolate roast malts nose.. Heavy sweet chocolates roast malts... Soft sweet caramel chocolate roast malts.. Sweet caramel sweet toffee caramel sweet mslts

Bottle at home. Wow, what a surprise! Pours completely black with almost no head. Aroma is surprisingly light, spices, rye, whisky, wood. Big body. Flavour is very complex, with a big malty body. Sweetish but not as much as you'd expect from the ABV. Lot of complex grain notes, the Japanese whisky makes this so interesting. Spices, chocolate, quite a bit of roast and smoke. Finishes warming and with lingering whisky. Really lovely.

Bottle. Black. Caramel, soft roast, vanilla in the aroma. Malty sweet alcoholic flavor with caramel, licorice, vanilla and whisky. Roast, velvety, Nice.

Black with thin dark head. Aroma and flavour have a nice mix of sweet dried fruits, bitter roasted malts and sweet whisky. Smooth and oily texture. The alcohol is barely detectable.
