Fles op vakantie in Luxemburg geprobeerd met LiekevdV en JoepvW. Het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en bloesem. De smaak is bitter, hoppig, bloemig en wrang.

330ml bottle @ De Bralle. Pours a slightly misty gold, good white head, high carb. Aroma of faint floral yeast, pale malt. Moderately sweet and a touch sugary to taste blonde, light citrus hop.. doesn't shine like it should, ok.

A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mild floral and grassy hops, pale malt. Taste of dry grassy hops, grainy pale malt, moderate bitterness.

Bottle at 't Mouterijtje Kortrijk. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Grapefruit citrus aroma. Good Grapefruit led pale ale. Not much Belgian influence except the sherbet nature of the hops. Good bitterness on the finish. Impressive 2 pale ales from this brewery. Liked them both. Hops are so good. Love the Grapefruit flavour

Bottle at Ribs n Beer, Kortrijk. Aroma is like an ipa almost. Appearance was a stunning gold although ruined somewhat by lots of sediment. Taste is like a blend of hoppy ipa and Belgian pale and I'm not sure it really hits either that well. Quite long aftertaste.

Bottle at home. A bit unclear (at first, murky in the end) golden color, medium sized white head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, somewhat blossomy sweet, maybe a distant hint of candy, a bit yeasty. Hard to describe. Mwah. Not my thing. 7-2-6-2-10

Geel bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is fris fruitig en licht bitterzoet met iets van citrus en ananas.

Cascade, Amarillo...c'est un duo qui met plutôt la bière à la bouche. Mais il est dommage de voir que ceux-ci sont si mal utilisés abec cette bière qui brille par sa structure déséquilibrée. Côté visuel, c'est très acceptable avec un blond doré limpide (EBC de 7) qui aurait tout de même mérité davantage de mousse, celle-ci n'arrivant pas à recouvrir la surface. Le nez est relativement simple mais agréable avec des agrumes, du miel et floral. L'attaque nous fait perdre nos espoirs. La structure déséquilibrée notamment par de l'acidité qui ne permet pas aux arômes de miel, de pêche, d'agrumes et d'épices de s'exprimer convenablement. On perd également ce côté floral donnant moins de charme à l'ensemble. La deuxième bouche voit les arômes épicés se renforcer (poivre et coriandre). La présence en bouche est également trop juste. L'arrière bouche est quant à elle complètement déséquilibrée avec une acidité trop marquée et une expression aromatique très limitée. Le final, un peu court nous réconcilie tout de même quelque peu avec cette Julia, plus équilibré et moins épicé, on y retrouve un trio pêche/agrumes/miel. Si l'alcool à 5,7 % y est très honnête, l'amertume à 25 d'IBU aurait mérité d'être poussée. Trop d'imperfections.
