An imperial India Pale Ale version of our signature Ghost Fleet IPA. A hazy light bodied beer with a full mouth feel supports a heavy arsenal of hop flavor.

Rich deep and quite hazy copper and peach coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall just off-white head that stays afloat for a long time. Aroma of deeply resinous and citrusey hops with some good malts and a smooth sweetness at the end from fruit, but also a heavy touch of alcohol and crisp bitterness also around. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich grassy and herbal flavours up front give way almost immediately to a resinous, piney and citrusey hop flavour that shows a lot of depth, but the malt then kicks in and gives great balance and punch. Aftertaste shows the alcohol up front with seemingly more than 8,5% abv, but also a very dry and bitter characteristic, but that's just from the hops. Some light sugars at the end from apricots and peaches, but more of the hops and some alcohol still leftover a few minutes afterwards. Overall, a nice and rich IPA that borders on Imperial [status] and shows a good defined resinous and citrusey hop characteristic and good balance of malts. I sampled this on draught at Dominion Wine in Falls Church [city], Virginia on 31-January-2018, as 'Vanish Imperial Ghost Fleet IV'.

4oz draft pour at Spacebar. Poured a small amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma was sweet malts, light orange, tangerine, sweet, but not obtrusive malt notes. Flavor was similar. A touch creamy, alcohol is there, but not overpowering. Tasty.
