This brotherhood began with respect for the lupulin arts, which the magical minds at Melvin refine in their brew temple high in the Tetons in Jackson Hole, WY. Reunited at sea level, we form up tiger style to brew a Red IPA that tickles the bones with wintry warmth as hops swarm the palate-oracular malt spectacular balancing an avalanche of hops.

Can. Deep amber body. Tall light beige head with red highlights. Malty aroma of toasted grain, caramel, cotton candy. Hint of pine, resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Slightly sour. Taste of bitter caramel and grain. Watery.

Deep cherry red with a tan head. Malty, citrus, floral, a bit of caramel. Full bodied. Finish is bitter and semi-dry. Nice malty ale with good fruit notes.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the "Land-Grant Collab (The Corsica) Launch + Empanadas Food Truck" event on 01/19/2018. Cloudy dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of pine, citrusy hops and earthy malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sampled on draft at 3 Rivers this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized creamy orange-tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and piney and a bit rough. The flavor was tangy and sourish with caramel, pine, vague fruity hops and a touch of tobacco. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Meh.

Taster at Growler Guys. Medium Amber with soft head. Aroma leans on some caramel malts, taste brings in some sharp, tingly hops, still caramel malts underneath. Overall it comes off as an altbier IPA, if that makes sense. Interesting nonetheless.
