Roasted malts, hedgerow fruit, espresso and liquorice. Big, black and wholesome; This is beer with soul! Naturally bottle conditioned it is secondary fermented in the bottle in a similar way to the production of champagne. This beer is made from 4 pure organic ingredients, malted barley, water, hops and yeast. It is full of vitamin B and good for you.

Keg at the Black Isle taproom, Inverness, 25/02/23. Black with a decent tan cap that thins to a swirl and spotting. Nose is mellow roast, charr, toffee, dark malts, spice, dates. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, raisins, charr, spice, toffee, fruit cake mix. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent stout.

On tap (keg) at the Black Isle bar, Inverness, Monday 26th September 2022, in the company of Nick and Anna. Shark eye black with a medium light beige head. Plenty of roasted malts on the nose, perhaps a little spent coffee grinds also. Smooth moutheel, a little creamy, chocolate, hints of liquorice and a little dark fruit, super easy drinking and a solid stout.

Smell-weak to medium, malt, roast, coffee. Foam-thin, roast, malt, weak caramel, sugar, sweetness, then roast and bitter tones. Head is medium-sized, medium-dark brown color. Appearance- somewhat simple can, a bit to bonus side, beer itself dark brown color, medium carbonated. From- stout glass Price - 2,99 euros Taste- malty, weak sweetness, some roast, caramel, coffee, dark chocolate... then roast starts to creep up a bit. A fine beer, easy drinking, malty, bit roasty.

13 June 2020. At De Kelk, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy black with an unstable, small, frothy, beige head; lots of lacing. Aroma of toast, brown bread, prune, earth, walnut, cold coffee, chocolate chips. Taste has sweetish dark chocolate, brown bread, vague dark fruits underneath, some dark toffee too. Bitter toast & nuts in the middle and well into the dry, earthy hoppy finish, more brown bread & coffee returning. Medium body, thin creamy texture, soft carbonation. Good Stout with a very 'dark' character, but a thin all in all.
