pFriem loves Mexican Lagers, so we brewed our own! Our light and crisp reinvention is brewed with malted barley and flaked maize, and aromas of orange blossom and a faraway Mexican beach. Like the lagers that inspired us, pFriem’s Mexican Lager will leave you wanting another, and another…

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Clear golden pour, head settles down. Corny aroma, sweet, grainy. Taste is sweet, over the top corn. A little bit too sweet for my taste.

I was going to start by comparing this to tripping animals no mames which is my standard for Mexican lagers but pfriem crushed it, no surprise, mad crisp, corn and citrus sweetness, might be new fav. I need a 24 pack of this stat. Mad refreshing.

500 ml. Aroma is grassy, a little bready, lightly floral, light corn. Pours lightly hazy pale golden with a one finger off-white head with good retention. Taste has a noticeable herbal hop bitterness backed by some light bready malt sweetness, finishing lightly dry. Perfectly carbonated mouthfeel for what it is. Doesn't taste like your typical macro Mexi swill. It has both hop and malt character, and it's delicious. Great beer.

Capped 500 from Tavour. Pours clear, light bright gold with a foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is bready with moderate grass notes. Med body. Flavor matches aroma. Actually somewhat suggestive of a pilsner. Tasty. Will drink this with pizza.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours golden with small white head. The aroma is citrus and corn malt. Slick body, citrus, wheat, light crisp finish, good.

On tap at the brewery pours crisp pale straw topped with a white head. Nose is nice crisp grain light light honey and some grass. Taste is more of the nice light crisp notes spice and grass. Very refreshing.

Pale golden with a white head. Sweet and light zest with some adjunct, too. Not exactly what I was expecting from the name. More like a standard pale lager than anything. Clean and nice, however.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Pale and hazy. Delicate cereals, hint of creamy sweetcorn, low bitterness, balanced.
Simple, clean.
