A dark brown porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with smooth chocolate malt, coffee grind, light floral hops, pleasant. In mouth, nice sweet chocolate malt with coffee grind, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. On tap at Carlsbad location.

Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, espresso and mocha. Taste is sweetish, roasty and heavy with coffee notes and espresso. Finish is roasty, heavy with coffee and espresso notes. Loads of coffee here.

Draught @ Pizza Port, Carlsbad. Aroma has mocha coffee and licorice. Flavour has strong mocha notes and sweet molasses in the background. Alcohol comes a bit through, it is mostly warming anyway. A bit too stuffy. The coffee here is nice though.

Black with creamy tan head. You can really pull out the intricacies of the coffee in this porter. Very dry, black coffee, roasted, earth, chocolate. Medium body. Finishes extremely dry. One of the better coffee beers I’ve had.

Keg at PP Carlsbad, 21/04/14 @8.3% ABV. Light black with a moderate tan swirl/covering. Nose is coffee cake, light roast, coffee grinds, brown sugars, light smoke, rich toffee. Taste comprises espresso notes, coffee beans, light roast, hint of spice, coffee cake icing. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light roast and coffee tones. Decent coffee infused porter.

Tap many months ago. Pours with a just slightly less than black hued body with a retentive tan head. Aromas are of vanilla, earthy coffee, mild esters and deep roast. Flavors are medium roasty, earthy coffee, lactose, low bitterness. Medium to lighter bodied than expected, fuller carbonation.
