Sampled on draft at House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a golden-caramel color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish toffee and fairly strong fruity hops. The flavor was toffee, tobacco and fairly strong fruity hops. Long finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Sample at Daily Growler UA. Dark amber-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, dried fruits and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. A- Caramel, bready, grape cool aid, dark fruits, slightly sweet, malty, spice, candy. A- Copper color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, bread, grapes, berries, malty, sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- This was as light and fruity as I have ever had for a barley wine. It was quite good and complex. I was surprised that it was only 8% abv and had like 85 ibu or something. It was very easy to drink.
