On tap at Sprig and Fern, Hardy St. Pours dark ruby. Chocolate, coffee, biscuits, little cream. Average body. Nice.

On tap at S&F, Tahunanui. Opaque brown/black colour. Thin film on top. Dark chocolate nose. Full-bodied with a coffee/dark chocolate finish. Gets better as it warms. A bit like a caramel malt sundae but in a good beery way.

Near black with a tan head. Aroma is lightly roasted and chocolatey. Medium to thin body. Flavor is one dimensional. A bit of cocoa and roasted malts. Dry finish. Decent porter but nothing special. (

Bottled. A brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and wet hay, leading to a dry finish.

(On tap) Dark brown with an orange hue and a light brown head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Medium body with roasted malt accents and some notes of cardboard. Almost no bitterness. Somewhat sloppy. 300108
