On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, cocoa, wood, spice. Medium body, chocolate, wood, roast, dry finish, good.

A vary rare beer and since I don’t care for imp stouts I hesitate to rate. But, it must be terribly on style. Big & black. Barely any smell on this. Wew, first taste knocks me off me stand. Big alky blast in the face. Way too much for the expectations of this lager lover. Reminds me of when I siphon the old oil out my shovel. What else can be said? Its simply a mouth coating experience. BTW. its way 2 expensive for what you get, $1/ounce, not impressed.

Draft at Issac Newton’s in New town, PA. Was this an aged keg? Not sure and didn’t know it was marked as retired until hours later. Anyhow... The color showed a deep brown with ruby highlights when held to the light. Aroma is heavy on dark fruit with traces of roast and molasses. The flavor is right in line with the nose and leans heavy on the dark fruit. Moderate roasted level with a body that is only medium. The only hit on the score this stout takes is the weak flimsy mouth feel. If the body was more hefty it would score higher. However, it has all the correct flavors.

On draught at Barcade, Philadelphia. Dark with a deep tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, molasses, ripe, dark fruits. Full bodied. Has that distinct Yards flavor. Roasted malts, chocolate, a bit of wood, some molasses, and ripened fruit. Good brew.
