Location: Cask at Pony Bar (HK), 5/15/13
Aroma: The aroma is on the sour side, with some underlying roasted malts
Appearance: It poured a dark brown color with a (large for a cask beer) frothy beige head
Flavor: The taste is a little sour as well, with some light-medium malty sweetness as well
Palate: The body is light-medium, and it has a very smooth and creamy cask feel to it
Overall Impression: Oddly, this tasted more like a sour than a porter. Accidental sour? I can't say for sure, but it somehow sorta kinda worked. Weird stuff. I'm not sure how to rate it as I'm not sure what the intent was here.

had this on my trip through NYC last year and just found the napkin I wrote it one. Dark with a wispy head. Light sour, roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa (there did seem to be both), with some molasses. Flavor is similar with nice bittersweet chocolate. Lightly dry and sour finish. Thin bodided. Refreshing on this warm evening. (Cask at Blind Tiger)

Tap at Spuyten - a solid porter - nothing much to say about it, really - medium-bodied, with a nice dry, roasty character - notes of chocolate and a hint of toffee - I would order this again.

April, 2004. Dark brown ale with a light coffee aroma. Faint chocolate and some hops in final. Very thin porter.
