We're big fans of beautiful, hearty red ales and couldn't wait to devise a new one for the season. Seven different malts combine to give this beer its dusky red hue and pleasingly rich, biscuity base. From there, Amarillo, Simcoe and Mosaic hops are allowed to sing with stone fruit, berry and evergreen high notes.

Can from Bottle Baron. Clear ruby body with a beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel and strawberry laces. Flavour of red apple, boiled sweets and cranberry. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. I love a Red IPA. This is ace but I still prefer Liquid Mistress. I’d love to see more Red IPAs from Siren, they do them so well.

Keg at the brewery. Low key fruity aroma. Opaque chestnut. Creamy off-white head mainly hides out on the rim. Initial light bitter with a sour edge. A wave of spicy grainy bitterness then sweeps through before a sweet jammy finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable Red IPA.
