Can. Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, toast, some caramel, dried fruits with some mashmallows and mild lactose tones too with a wee bit of alcohol. Flavour is marshmallows, some dried fruits, caramel, toast and mild sweet grainy tones too along with some alcohol, wood, vanilla and mild lactose.

355ml can. Dry, sweetish, malty and slightly roasty with some dried fruits, prunes, toffee, syrup, brown sugars and hints of rye, oak and honey, some warming alcohol in the finish. A bit harsh, feels almost like an old ale more than a barley wine.

[ As 18th Street Decameron - Barrel Aged ].
ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark red - amber brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted - roasted, caramel, dark malt, dried fruit, bread - oxidide. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, oxidide, bread, dark malt, caramel, dried fruit, barrel - vanilla - marshmallow. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20211022]

Tap@MBCC 2021, Copenhagen - brown with a beige covering. Sweet and toasted malty with notes of dark dried fruit, caramel and toffee sweetness, medium body, sweet malty close.

Tap @MBCC 2021, Blue Session. Very dark brown, beaige head. dusty, dark malty aroma, caramel and dried fruit. Bittersweet flavour, malty with sweet vinous notes. Caramely sweetness, some woody notes.

Can split at the Grand Reunion Tasting at MM, picked up from an online peddler, 20/05/21. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is rich in fruit cake, toffee, mellow barrel tones, sweet malts. Taste comprises brown sugar melt, dried fruits, toffee, rocky roads, bourbon nip. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good restrained boost level. Solid stuff.

Can shared at Colin's place. Many thanks to Colin for this one. A clear chestnut brown coloured pour with a halo of beige, head,. Aroma is semi sweet. Brown sugars, cinnamon, meaty nutty malts, waxy,. Flavour is composed of medium sweet. Brown brandy snap sugars, oak, bourbon.. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation.
