Limited edition – 2,700 items from the first bottling. From 21st October 2013 – while stocks last. Beautiful copper-coloured beer with a deep red tint, delicate opalescence and cream-coloured foam. The impressive bouquet unfolds caramel, mocha and vanilla flavours, accompanied by a hint of dried plums on the nose. A fine mousse and a creamy structure develop in the mouth. At the first sip, it is full-bodied in taste with a gentle top-fermented aroma. The gentle bitterness harmonises well with a delicate sweetness, thus ensuring multi-layered flavours appealing to your palate. Extended elegant aftertaste that lingers after the last sip.

Bottle. 1073 of 1100. What an honor to drink this beer. Love Germanic beers and I love doppelbocks. Pour is clear orange-gold with just a tad of haze. Medium head with lots of bubbles. Aroma is toasted grain, with slight hints of citrus and dried fruit. Taste is grains, slight sweetness. Surprisingly smooth for such a high abv. Woah, kind of snicks up on you. Love this beer.

Bottle (0.75 liters) from Merkur Hoher Markt, Vienna. The description on the bottle calls this an "Imperial Bock Barrel Aged". Hazy amber to red body with medium, creamy, slightly beige head. What an unique aroma! Pina Colada (!), vanilla, caramel, dark fruits. Taste is vanilla, caramel, nut, plum, dark fruits, some subtle roastyness. Full body, with creamy texture and a long, astringent, bitter-sweet and alcohol warming finish. Great heavy stuff! Never tasted a beer like this from Austria, thanks for that Stiegl! Exciting and complex brew!
