Poured up on tap at the Main St. location where it exhibits a clear copper amber colored body that supports a lasting off white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up dashes of a blend of roasted malts, bready malts and some mild hop spiciness followed by a touch of toffee. The taste delivers a somehow refreshing level of varying degrees of roasted malts leading to German dark breadiness. Nice. As it warms the malt character conjures up more and more nuance. The spicy to floral hops brighten up the experience creating a tasty balance. Fun beer.

On tap at Alvarado Street - Monterey, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out bready malt and a hint of sweetness. Flavour is malty and dry, with lots of dry bready malt and toasted notes. Dry and malty, with immense drinkability but not much depth. What you want from this style. Good stuff.

Can at home. It pours a clear golden orange color with an off white head. The aroma is pleasantly toasted with some light graham cracker. The flavor is toasty and a little spicy with soft malty sweetness. Solid earthy, spicy bitterness. Not too strong. Really tasty stuff, but a bit too expensive for what it is.

Can shared by Marcus. Pours much like Anchor Steam - copper with white head. Aroma is malty and a little yeasty. Sort of roasty malt. Med body. Flavor is roasty, malty and fairly bitter. Reminds much of Anchor Steam. Pretty tasty.
