The inspiration for this dark and mysterious collaboration with Dugges is an old Gothenburg Porter; our recipe is loosely based on historical malt bills. There’s also a modern touch, with a hint of peated malt and a nice alcohol backbone to really layer up the roasty flavours. In Scandinavian folklore, Draugen is the ghost of a sailor, now often associated with anything dark or mysterious about the sea.

Bottle@yesprs - Dark brown to black pour with creamy beige head. Roasted and sweet malty with some notes of caramel and chocolate with some ashy burnt smoked malty notes, oily mouthfeel, smooth mouthfeel, medium body, roasted smoked malty finish.

Bottle from Boxbeers. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and hard roasted malt. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. Oily. 050318

Flaska från SB. Svart med brungräddigt skum. Doft och smak av saltlakrits-fudge, kola, finsk tjärpastill, honung och rökiga och rostade toner. Ganska stor sötma backar upp de torrare, rostade tonerna.

On tap at Zagreb Craft Beer Week. Dark brown, yellowish head. Heavy roasted, malty, chocolate, caramel, toffee, sweet. Quite strong bitter finish. Rough around the edges. Medium to full bodied.

Bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, light smoke, liquorice, leather. Taste is slightly sharp, light smoke again, tobacco pouch, liquorice, light roast. Light sweet finish.
