Trial By Wombat

Ridiculously hazy GREY and odd brown coloured body with a very smokey glow and two centiemtre tall, just off-white head, but the body colour is unlike anything I've ever seen in a liquid - aide from a four-flavour blended (melted) slurpee from 7-11! Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, pine, flowers and a dash of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong rich grassy and herbal notes with a ton of citrus and grapefruit flavours with a solid sweetness from the fruits and a light funky yeast and bread note at the very end. Aftertaste shows a good balance of super pungent hops with grapefruit and resin, but also a ton of very supportive malts that end with some strong alcohol pungency, but that is supplanted by the sweetness at the very end, all from fruit. Overall, aside from the crazy smokey, hazy grey coloured body - this one was very nice and typical for a hazy New England IPA that tastes slightly higher in alcohol than actually does. Good to try - was my colour different than others? It seems it from reviews, but couldn't be that far off to pass any standards by the brewery! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 06-May-2020 for US$3,99 sampled the next day on 07-May-2020 at my house here in Washington.

Tap at Signor Smith. Hazy yellow colour and medium-sized white head. Grapefruit, grapefruit peels in the nose. Medium-bodied. Mango, citrus, pineapple flavour. Juicy, pleasant malty ipa.

Can sourced from Beerdome and shared at home - hazy yellow with a white head. Vibrant fruity with some nice notes of pineapple and grapefruit, gooseberry and lemon, medium body, just a light bite of bitterness into the robust hoppy finish. Great stuff.

Draught @ City Hops (5/11/19). Extremely hazy pale yellow with large foamy off-white head, mango-citrus-pineapple flavor, low carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel-pineapple taste follows after an initial sweetness, thin body, long finish. Balanced NEIPA.

16oz can thanks to stevoj pours out hazy orange topped with a white head. Nose is citrus hops a little sweet tropical fruit aswell. Taste is more of the nice citrus forward hops and a nice end.

16 oz can from Tavour. Hazy, milky pour . with a thick fluffy head which sticks around for a while. Grapefruit peel features prominently in The Taste and the aroma. The normal juicy and citrus qualities usually found in the style with a little added extra earthiness from the Galaxy hops. Dry and chalky finish.
