I never give 4% abv beers this kind of rating. Ever. A real piece of beer craft. The nose features an initial touch of smoke, fresh cut wood, malt and some dark berries. Visually it is a star - a full light tan head with long term lacing on a dark brown body verging on black. The taste is beautifully blended with some spice such as lavender and nutmeg, dark rich berries, wood, rich malt and a slight honey sweetness. A stunner.

Ça a beaucoup de corps malgré le "de table". C'est très torréfié et tout simplement délicieux. Je l'ai trouvée un peu chère par contre...

Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown color ale with a medium size light brown foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with light coffee notes is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of dry caramelized malt with very little residuals sugar notes and some light bitter coffee notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Very well brewed for the style.

Bouteille 500ml. Couleur brune foncée opaque, mousse moka fugace. Arôme de malt grillé, houblon terreux, noisette. Goût de malt grillé, amertume moyenne, un peu terreux, pointe de café surtout en arrière-goût, chocolat. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.
