17/09/2017 - draught small glass shared with 77ships and tderoeck @Hedonis Ambachtsfest. Red colour, medium head. Nose is cherry, sour touch. Taste is soft medicinal, sweet sticky cherry candy, artificial feeling.

20.09.2017, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, nice light reddish color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish, grass, cherry stones, hay, minerals, cherries, flowers, hints of something soapy. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, chlorine, weeds, cherry stones, grass, minerals, soap, bark, sour cherries. Medium bitterness, harsh soapy mouthfeel. The soapy thing kills it all...

Thank you for sharing tderoeck & Bierridder_S. Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Hedonis Ambachtsfest 2017. Ugly amber, soapy near pink head. Nose is unpleasant plaster, soap, weak medicinal spoiled, muted. Taste is fizzy, grain, cleaning products, medicinal products, Iso-Betadine finish,… Fizzy Iso-Betadine, medicinal body. I was not a fan of the BA version but it was a lot better than this, these medicinal notes are totally off-putting for me.

The sour beer craze has now reached the Balkan region - which has only recently begun to venture into craft beer in general. This is a sour ale with lambic yeast added as well as local sour cherries. Snow white, stable, moussy head, deep salmon pink hue with a near-orange tinge to it, clear. Aroma of cherry juice and cherry skins but relatively 'thinly' so (I have no idea how much went in here - but it cannot have been as much as is traditional in e.g. a Belgian cherry lambic), roses, pomegranate, rainwater, sourdough, apple juice. Fruity onset but in a cleanish, sparse kind of way, sour cherry notes but actually more melon- and starfruit-like flavours than abundant cherry, fizzy carbonation, supple cereally malt basis with a vague spicy spelt touch and soapiness, dryingly tart finish, a tad yoghurty, stonefruit and cherry pit hints, dim and 'low', earthy hop bitterish accent. Dry and elegant enough, but perhaps a bit 'too' clean and a bit on the 'careful' side within the realm of sour fruit beers - I would not have minded a more generous sour cherry dosis and more thorough wild yeast effects. Not really sour either...

17/IX/17 - 75cl bottle @ Hedonis Ambachtsfest (Gent) - BB: n/a (2017-1523) Thanks to 77ships and Bierridder_S for sharing today's beers!

Cloudy rusty red beer, creamy aery irregular off-white head, little stable. Aroma: grains, some diacetyl (again, but it seems to work in fruit beers, for some reason), little fruity, yeast notes. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, pretty chemical, some glue, soft bitterness, tannins, buttery. Aftertaste: bit acidic, some cherries, bitter, malty, grains. Decent, but not great. I do hope the diacetyl is intentional...

0.75 l bottle from Pivoteka. On discount so I finally bought it. Shared with lovely Anja. Ten more days to due date. Murky amber to ruby red, head completely diminished after strong foaming. Cherry with medicinal off. I feel also metallic and cardboard. Some wine-like aromas. Sour and harsh medicinal finish. High carbonation. Medium body. You can barely drink this one. 424104=1.5

Bottle shared by Boban in Vranovo (Serbia) upon its release. Dark red pour quite cloudy, little foam. Nose is more on the sweet side, cherry syrup, apple, sourness is not present. The mouth mirrors the nose, far too sweet imo, cheap cherry juice, red fruit, not much sour.

Pours a hazy ruby red color, topped with a medium small white-pink head. Mild soury nose with just a touch of fruits and quite a lot of nutty presence. Mildly soury taste with woodiness and walnuts - not what I espected. Mildly soury finish. A bit more fruity later on. Expected and hoped for something much nicer. Not bad, but...
