Brännland Ciders first vintage of barrel aged ice cider. Aged for 12 months on used Chablis barrel and released in a limited edition in June 2016. The positive effect of barrel aging on the ice cider has prompted Brännland Cider to increase barrel aging with coming vintages.

Bottle shared by bursprak. Taste is clear yellow. Aromas of sweet apples and vanilla. Taste is sweet, light tartness, grapey notes, tannins, vanilla. Huge apple bomb.

Hand bottled from Victor, thanks! Golden color. Dried apples, oak, vanilla in the aroma. Sweet dried apple flavor with hints of oak and vanilla. No carbon. A soft sourness. Liquorish. Magnificent!

Taster. Pours clear golden. Aroma is strong flowers, honey, apple, caramel, syrup. Body is heavy and strong, quite acidic, and despite the ongoing intensity quite drinkable. A punch in your face, full of flavour and complexity. Almost too much, but somehow still works. Yup.

Bottle in queue mikkeller... 2018 day 2... Golden amber... Soft sweet apple.. juicy sweet apples nose.. Big juicy apples.. soft sweet floral fruit

Bottle, thanks hubi. Nose is sweet apple, elderflower, pear. Palate is really intense sweet apple, elderflower honey. Sweet finish. Very, very good

Viscuous golden. Aroma is dried apple slight cream and cinnamon brown sugar and vanilla dandelion honey. Taste is sour apple with rich sweet body. Complex and rather balanced towards the sour side. Quaffable. No alcohol spice. I like.

Sample. Dark golden, little debris. Clean deep apple aroma, pink crisp. Chewy fullbodied, light wood, pleasant apple skin, Gravensteiner, broad, light brandy finish. Chewy, great.

Bottle, many thanks VsXsV! Amber color with no head. Aroma is apple must, custard, rose pedals, caramel. Taste is custard, gummibears, apple must, red apples, a bit tannic in the back. Slightly tart, a touch nutty. Oily viscous mouthfeel, flat. Absolutely fantastic Ice Cider!

Bottle 187ml. @ [ The Stat Improver Tasting ] - Saxo, Højbjerg - Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Brännlands Iscider Fatlagrad 2013 ].Clear medium to light orange yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy apple, apple concentrate, rich apple, light tart apple. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long long duration, sweet apple, concentrate apple, wood, rich apple. Body is medium, texture is syrupy - watery, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20170617] 9-2-9-5-18
