Absolutely delicious ale possessing a strong butterscotch flavour. Much enjoyed on Cask in Lewes where it came across as sweeter than when tried in Alfriston at The Star Inn where it was bitter. 4.5/5 in Lewes, 3.5/5 in Alfriston. Re-rated, bottle bought at shop in local area. Hugely dissapointing!! I was expecting good things after last time. This time, it came across like lager, not only in aroma but in taste too. Too much fizz. Some grassy hops there. Getting better over the time with the grass hops. 4.1 to 3.1. (27/12/18) ---- Rerated on cask at the Patridge, Parsons green. 3.1 to 3. Very av. Aley and fine but av. (24/8/19) ------- Rerated on cask at the Counting house, Eastbourne. 3 to 3.1 A quite nice ale that balances all the elements.

On cask in London. Smooth mild and fresh beginning. Easy to drink, smooth and a bit grainy body, fresh but a bit piney. Nice Ale-characteristics, fresh and mild aftertaste. Nice!

Cask at the Hobgoblin, High Wycombe. Deep gold with a thin white head and a moderate fizz. A little sharp lemon up front and some light floral notes behind. Mild flavours for an APA, could do with being crisper, but pleasant enough I guess.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Amber with a loose cream head; biscuity malt aroma; caramel taste with a strong dry herbal bitterness; and a lasting bitter finish. A satisfying pint.
