Forgot I had one of these in the cellar, purchased at my local Metro store. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a beige head, decent stay and some nice lace. Raisin and apple notes for aromas with a mild butterscotch base. Hints of dry wine, earthiness. The taste has pretty much the same. Not too rich so goes down nicely. Smooth, just not my thing to have another.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber/copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized alt with light candi sugar notes and some grapes notes. Taste is a nice mix of caramelized malt with candi sugar and dry grapes notes. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. Solid dubbel with great addition of grapes notes.

Bouteille 660ml. Couleur rouge vin foncé voilé, mousse beige laissant un anneau sur les parois du verre ainsi qu’une belle dentelle. Arôme de malt caramélisé, raisins, levure. Goût de malt caramélisé, levure, peau de raisin, légère astringence, pas très sucré, touche d’épices, fruité. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.

Belle bière, toute en équilibre... On sent le raisin mais il est parfaitement dosé. Aucun défaut outre son effervescence plutôt faible. J’en rachèterai si j’ai la chance de la croiser à nouveau.
