Gamme Grande Cuvée. Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and you’ll enjoy it’s subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

From bottle v2011 thanks to Alex! Dark brown to black color with beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, nutty, chocolate, milk chocolate, light licorice and coffee, soy sauce notes in the beginning. Sweet and bitter taste. Light almost oily body with soft carbonation.

Creamy tan head stayed on a very dark brown still body. Malt, demerara, coffee & berry aroma. Medium to full bodied, slightly carbonated on the front with creamy smooth back. Dark berries, brown sugar, dark spirits, lactose, honey, syrup & chocolate tastes with a slightly spicy finish.

Got in a BIF from TheDoctor. 750 ml bottle into snifter, bottled on 7/31/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, licorice, wood smoke, leather, tobacco, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Amazing complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready/light smoked malt, and light earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, licorice, wood smoke, leather, tobacco, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild roast/char, and herbal/grassy/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, dark fruit, cherry, molasses, licorice, light smoke/char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready/light smoked malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with no yeasty notes. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight sticky hops, and chalky char/roast. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is an insane Baltic porter! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready/light smoked malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV. This is the smoothest and best Baltic porter I've ever had. Even better than the Brandy/Bourbon variation. Amazingly rich/fruity malt complexity; with restrained cherry smoked malt, and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A highly amazing offering, and world class style example.

Tap (Pogromcy, Wrocław). Semisweet, chocolate with delicate fruit note at the finish. Good balanced, smooth with good hidden booze, generally tasty.
