Gamme Grande Cuvée. Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and you’ll enjoy it’s subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

On tap @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome). Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Wow!

Tap (Pogromcy, Wrocław). Semisweet, chocolate with delicate fruit note at the finish. Good balanced, smooth with good hidden booze, generally tasty.

Pours a near black from a bottle, tan head dissipates into a ring. Big chocolate aroma, similar flavor with a nice light smokiness. Very good beer.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, licorice and caramel. Taste has bitter licorice, caramel, chocolate, nuts and a bitter finish. Too much licorice for me.

Tap at Muted Horn, Berlin. Assuming they have the base version on tap as there is no extra information about the beer. Soft cocoa dust in the nose, molasses and sweet chocolate pudding. Taste is also sweet, some fruity cherry notes coming out in the mid-taste and finish turns a bit drier and more bitter. Some spice and slight tingle in the back of my throat lingers for a while. Fits my image of how a great Baltic Porter should look and feel like, good stuff.
