Caramel, Slightly astringent hops and malt in the nose. A strong, off-white head on a rich, orange brown body. This beer has blended nicely with some aging. Substantial hops mix well with a spicy malt and caramel backbone with a nice touch of rich booziness. A nice change of pace from fruity west coast imperials. Definitely a sipper.

Bottle: Poured a deep light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt based is quiet powerful with strong citrus and oily hoppy notes. Taste is almost veering into American Strong Ale territory with deep caramel malt based with sweet undertones and loads pungent and citrus hops notes. Body is quite full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting but not sure I need to drink such extreme beer on a regular basis.

Bouteille 500ml.
