(thanks for sharing!) Sampled draft @ The Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Day 2. Orange. Black, little head. Nose is far too umami, liquorice & roast for me, herbal. Taste is too umami, herbal, roasted malt, burned coffee, raspberry is even lost. Herbal liquorice syrup body. Not a terrible beer but not really what I hope for in a chocolate and raspberry RIS.

Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a deep dark body that supports a thin mocha colored head. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, chocolate, a little bit of marshmallow and then a hint of almost burnt maltiness. The taste delivers dark roasted malts rimmed thinly by some burnt malts. It then gets a little sweeter with molasses, some sweet malts and then a mild sense of berry sweet fruitiness. Into the finish a pleasing layer of chocolate is discovered blending nicely with the other notes that are going on. Pretty nice stout.
