Keg at Mason and Co, Hackney, London, Saturday 21st January 2017 walking from Tottenham Hale to Olympic Park via Lea Valley the walk is from Londons Hidden Walks Pours almost black with a tan rim. A little burnt nose with a fruity/berry edge. Some chewy fudge, the aftertaste shows a little hoppiness. Very good. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.8

Keg at Mason & Co. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, very fruity, raspberry coulee, blackforest gateaux, sacher torte and cocoa. The taste is rich roasted malt, juicy, fruity, raspberry compote, berry, candy, dark chocolate, chocolate cake, blackforest gateaux and minimal alcohol with a dry finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Pretty delicious and dangerously drinkable.

Keg at Mason & Co - London. Pours oily black with a slight, creamy beige head. Juicy raspberry purée in the nose, melded with gooey chocolate. Medium to if sweet flavour with rounded and chewy chocolate, further ripe and juicy raspberry, a little roast, mellow bitterness. Finishes with some boozy warmth, baking cocoa, scorched earth, milk chocolate, raspberry purée some more. Lovely, luscious.

Keg at Beavertown brewery, Tottenham, London. A black coloured pour with a thin tan head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, some berry fruit. Seemed a little thin despite the 11% alcohol. Not bad.

Sample at SBWF 2016. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, light chocolate, coffee and some notes of berries. Similar taste. The body was full and the mouthfeel was kind of smooth. A nice one.
