500ml bottle. Pours an unclear dark brown almost black with amber hue and a medium, frothy, short lived, light brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso, ash and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate, licorice, ash and a metallic twang with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Draught @ Vices & Versa, Montréal. Pours xloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of coffee and malty touches. Bitter flavour of roast and coffee beans, with some sweetish malty and estery hints and touches of hops. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Quite a lot of coffee, but this does not make it a bad beer.

Dans l’ensemble un bon produit mais qui pourrait être plus crémeux et onctueux.

Bouteille 500ml. Couleur noire opaque, mousse moka dense laissant une belle dentelle, un peu huileuse. Arôme d’espresso, métallique plutôt désagréable. Goût d’espresso, de métal, avec une bonne amertume. Carbonation moyenne-élevée, un peu aqueuse pour une stout.

Bouteille 500ml (633 de 2000). De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de café, de malt rôti et avec des traces de chocolat noir. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture très faiblement crémeuse. Notes de chocolat noir avec de faibles traces de fumée de cigarette lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de malt rôti et un goût de café très présent pusi à mesure qu’approche la finale, le goût de café prend une tournure de goût de café légèrement brûlé et de faibles notes de houblon herbeux sont également décelables. Post-goût long-moyen, légèrement amer de café et de rôti avec quelques traces chocolatées.

Draft: Poured a black color stout with a small dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of coffee is dominant but not overly dry with some roasted malt notes. Taste is a great mix between some dry roasted malt with some good notes of coffee with light black chocolate notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Well brewed with great balance to avoid too much dryness.

Deep dark stout with a thin moka head. Strong aroma of dark coffee grinds, not bad. In mouth, light coffee and perfumey, but rather light, watery. On tap at brewpub June 14, 2008.
