Update of old Tick from 2013. This was the go to growing up in Quebec. Not much to, it but a step above the pale lagers of the day. Some light grassy bitterness.

This "Timeless" honest ale poured a crystal clear, light yellow colour with a minimal head. Scents include corn, eggs and bread. First sip was as thin as water with that common corn flavour and a light hop flavour that ends in a bile like flavour on the back of your tongue.

Right from the twist off bottle. Mild flavors that want to go strong but never do. Easy going and friendly. Did have some of that green bottle aroma in there. Pretty good overall lager type beer even tho it says its an ale.

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur jaune pâle, mousse peu présente. Une bière moins pire que d’autres dites de masse. Se retrouvant un peu partout, elle se boit bien quoi qu’ayant peu de goût.

Pours bright yellow gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Adjunct and sweet malt aromas. Dry with sweet malt front to back.

34.1 cL bottle in Toronto Airport. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lasting, creamy and white head. Aroma is vague grassy, light citrusy. Mild fruity, crisp bitter and vague citrusy. Bitter and mild hoppy finish.

I used to like this beer in bars (when they did not serve Labatt products - so no 50). It seems to have gotten worst and worst. I buy it now when people come over and they prefer corn-swills. Pours a clean golden colour with a big white creamy head, decent retention and lots of lacing. Big corn and mild malt nose. Same thing for the taste. Slightly creamy mouthfeel (which is probably the best thing this beer has to offer). Am not even sure this is an ale anymore. Labatt 50 totally kicks its ass nowadays (in the same market here in Canada).

Right off the bat I see a big issue with this beer, being labelled an "ale" when it looks exactly like just another freaking pale lager - with a bit of head, at least. Soft aroma of cardboard. Taste is of hazelnuts wrapped in cardboard - indeed a step up for Molson’s, but still undeniably crappy.

Overall Impression: This beer is not one of my favorites, it is decent, but certainly not something anyone should go out of their way to get.

Medium offwhite shiny head. Pale yellow body with carbonation. Light citric aroma. Watery citric light malty taste. Dryish. Mealy empty notes. No aftertaste. Very bland, and incredibly boring. (0.341l draft at Firegrill, Montreal.)
