No aroma. Brown, low head. Very light malt taste and a hint of banana. Quite bland. Carbonation is too high. Did not even taste good after wasting half an hour in canadian immigration.

I was roaming the neighbourhood looking for a bar in which to watch the Canucks game on satellite. With a Leafs game on at the same time, this was easier said than done. On the 8th try, I found one. It wasn’t a good bar – the food didn’t even look good on the menu let alone in the flesh. The service, I should say, was quite efficient. The beer list was abysmal, but offered one new beer for me – Rickard’s Honey Brown. Somehow, this actually manages to look like beer – golden brown, relaxed carbonation. Doesn’t have an aroma, which is probably beneficial. No taste, again probably beneficial. Vaguely sweet, lacking in the sour hop notes Molson is famous for. Zero malt, maybe some dms, watery palate, no finish. Empty, empty, empty. Worse yet, in the mirror on the wall behind the TV I was watching the game on, I could see the bar across the street – the Granite Brewery.
