Litre plastic bottle (originally cask), drank at home on 27th November 2024. Poured three times into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass. Wispy beige head on a red body, clean and clear. Nice blend of spiced fruits and maltiness. Really enjoyed it and glad I grabbed a litre!

Growler fill from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours just-clear dark chestnut with a thin white head. Aromas of red fruit and toffee. Taste adds some raisin. Nutty finish.

On tap at Beeropolis, Burton on Trent (not yet listed on RateBeer). Pours a murky chestnut with minimal white head. Some autumn fruits in the aroma. Redcurrants and applies to the fore in the mouth, with caramel lurking underneath. After a while traces of malts, ginger and other spices come through to enhance the flavour. Not really by cup of tea, but it’s OK.

330ml can as part of a delivery from Hops & Dots. Brown/amber and hazy with an off-white/beige head and a little bit of lacing. Malty, resinous aroma with white chocolate, caramel and berry character. Sweet taste with a fair bit of bitterness at the finish. A little too bitter in the finish but it still works. I do like these kinds of beers so maybe it's an overrated but for me it was solid.

Keg at Smokeworks, Cambridge, UK. Pours deep amber with limited cream foam, fine. Aroma is old school UK hops, of terrain, and some caramel and malt. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is moderate in both sweetness and bitterness, well balanced. Finish is kind of short.
